Modification

To reduce lead times and costs, the manufacturing industry is increasingly focusing on standardization and standard solutions. However, standardization and specialization often do not match. Poorthuis has well-equipped workshop and has the expertise to realize any desired modification so that it fits seamless all customer requirements.

By building specials out of standard valves, whether or not provided with a CE / PED certification, Poorthuis includes the following components:

– Steam jacket
– Drain / vent valve
– Extension
o Cryogenic
o Handwheel
o Gear box
– Adding adapter plate
o Removal of the handwheel and make it suitable for an actuator
– Transformation actuated – manual operation
– Change of material (TRIM)
o Seat
o Disc / wedge
o Stem
o Back seat
– Construction, setting and testing of valves, with or without actuator
– Prepare valves for FE class A or B
o Fugitive emission

Similar to overhauling, our engineers will perform both pressure test and functional testing on all modified valves according to the applicable standards. Assembly and commissioning at the jobsite is of course part of Poorthuis Industrial Services scope.
